Blanket Love

A new blanket that I made that sold within 5 minutes....some sort of record I believe.  Just a circle pattern all made with the most delicious Australian organic merino wool....which unfortunately is now in short supply.  The couple that make this yarn have closed their business.  A big shame because I don't think there has ever been a yarn that I have used that is more beautiful than this. Never mind.

  1. Beautiful work with what looks like beautiful wool. Would you be interested in doing a tuorial on how you crochet those squares. I have crocheted for many years but my joins are still a bit wonky....I looked closely and can't even see where you have changed to the next round!!! Niice!

    1. No problems Anny....when I do the next one, I'll make sure I do some step by step pics...although I must say, I think it is the yarn, not necessarily me....and this time around I did steam block this blanket which I've never done before. I decided to crochet these squares together a different way this time, and they puckered something shocking. A spray water blocking did not settle these squares down, so my only alternative was to block with a wet pillowcase over the blanket and then iron the wet pillowcase with the steam shooting out of the iron like a steam train....it came up beautifully and I was pleasantly surprised.

    1. If I only had the time...I think I will do some more of these but I will have to find an alternative yarn. I agree I love the circles to.
